2007 Season - Week 14
Hall of Fame Owners Wing
Remember all you have to do is email me the name of the owner you wish to place in the Hall of Fame, Owners Wing. Email me your vote by this Sunday December 16th. Please note there is no room for narcissism in the BUMS - YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. Let the campaigning begin, why do YOU deserve to be in?
H Watch
The Perivale Express continues at its breakneck pace. For the second week in a row, third time in four weeks and a record fifth time this season Andy H made it into the scoring Hall of Fame. This week H passed the Papas Fritas winning totals of David S (517 points in 1998), John (535 last year), Gareth (545 in 2002) and Wayne (547 in 2003). H is now just 2 points behind the all time record set by Johnny & Wayne at 574. With three weeks to go it looks like he’ll make it. In fact 700 isn’t out of the question, he’s on pace for 695 points.
The Great Escape
It looks like H has won the Papas Fritas Trophy and the hunt for promotion has been very stable for the last month but the race for escaping the drop zone is still really tight. Aaron looks to be down but the race to avoid the other 2 drop spots is close between 4 owners (Chief, Dave G, John and Marcus) with just 17 points covering all contenders. In fact at some point last week all 4 spent time in the relegation zone and also at some point each owner was safe. Keep an eye on the Great Escape each week.
Reality not Fantasy
Just 24 hours after their Monday Night defeat Bobby Petrino shockingly resigned as Atlanta Head Coach after just 13 games to take the Head Coaching job vacancy at Arkansas. In other news Indianapolis have grabbed at least a play-off spot after beating down on Baltimore on Sunday. Also on Sunday 3 NFC Divisions were won. Congratulations to Dallas, Green Bay and Seattle.
